FAQ
Private hibachi booking questions
Clear answers for pricing, setup, travel, weather, allergies, and what happens after you reserve your time online.
How does HibachiX booking work?
Choose your nearest service area, enter guest counts, add-ons, and event ZIP, then review the estimated price. From there, reserve your time online through the booking page. Our reservation manager will confirm your event details.
Is my event confirmed immediately after reserving online?
No. Your reservation is not final until our reservation manager confirms the event details and deposit.
What is included?
HibachiX commonly provides the chef, grill, food, hibachi entertainment, sake-style fun if applicable, and basic cleanup. Exact details may vary by service area and event details.
What does the customer provide?
Customers provide tables, chairs, plates, utensils, drinks, safe setup space, and event access. The reservation manager will review setup details before the event.
How much does it cost?
Adults are estimated at $60 each. Kids age 5-12 are estimated at $30 each. Filet mignon, lobster, and garlic noodles are available as add-ons when appropriate. The website shows an estimated price.
Is there a minimum?
Yes. The current event minimum is $600. The reservation manager will review how add-ons apply to your event total.
Do kids pay?
Kids age 5-12 are estimated at $30 each. Kids under 5 are free. Include kids under 5 in the estimator so seating and headcount can be reviewed.
Do you travel?
HibachiX serves private at-home events across listed service areas. City and alias routing is still being reviewed by the owner, so choose the nearest service area and share your ZIP.
Is travel included?
The first 20 miles are complimentary. After that, travel may be reviewed and estimated after the event address is confirmed.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Weather plans should be reviewed before the event. Customers should have a safe setup area. Outdoor events may need a covered or alternate space depending on conditions.
Can you handle allergies?
Share allergies before the event so the reservation manager can review details. HibachiX does not promise allergy-free cooking.
Can I change my party size?
Party-size changes should be reviewed with the reservation manager. Updated guest counts may change the estimated price, add-ons, travel review, and setup needs.
Do you serve alcohol?
HibachiX does not promise alcohol service through the website. Customers should provide drinks and follow local rules. Sake-style entertainment, when applicable, is reviewed as part of the event details.
What happens after I reserve online?
The Acuity step records a requested time for review. Our reservation manager will confirm your event details, and final price, travel, taxes, and availability are confirmed by our reservation manager.
Can I choose a chef?
Chef requests can be shared with the reservation manager, but chef availability is reviewed manually and is not assured by the website.
How far in advance should I book?
Earlier is better, especially for weekends and larger groups. The website can help you reserve your time online, but availability is reviewed by the reservation manager.
What if my city is not listed?
Choose the closest service area or contact HibachiX. Some aliases may route to a nearby canonical service area, and some cities are still under owner review.
What if Acuity booking is not connected for my city yet?
The booking page will show a fallback message: Online booking for this city is being connected. Please contact us and our team will help reserve your event.
